The climate never overheats at Lake Manyara, where average daytime temperatures peak at around 29°C/84°F in the Wet season that is from November to May. The dry season of July to October is the best time to visit Lake Manyara national park as it is the best time to visit Lake Manyara for watching game that comes to lake from other ranges as water sources dry up. For wildlife viewing, Lake Manyara can be visited anytime of the year but at its best from late June to October, you can witness abundant wildlife which is a sight to watch.

How to Reach Lake Manyara

By Air: The nearest international airport to Lake Manyara is Arusha airport. There’s an airstrip near the park gate and return daily flight from Arusha is available for the travelers.  You can also charter a plane Arusha.

By Road: Located southwest of Arusha, Lake Manyara National Park is in a distance of 126 kilometers and can easily be reached by car. The drive from Arusha takes approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours to reach the entrance gate. On arrival at the park, you would need to rent a vehicle to enter the park via the gateway village which is accessible by bus.
